Members of the REDAA Community recently gathered in Nairobi for the first in-person event since the launch of the programme’s community of practice in May 2024. Bringing together 39 participants from 21 projects and 17 countries across sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia, the event was filled with activities designed to spark knowledge exchange and cooperation.

REDAA's second grant call will open on Monday, 13 May. This funding round introduces larger-sized 'Programme Grants' of £1,000,000 - £1,500,000.

REDAA has published three scoping studies conducted by UNU-INRA and ICLEI Africa. These studies propose potential priorities for REDAA in sub-Saharan Africa.

The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) has been selected to carry out a distinct project on wetland ecosystem modelling and economic valuation in the Kalu Oya Basin, Sri Lanka.

The Utopia seed fund project has been awarded £15,960 in top-up funding by the Royal Academy of Engineering, with support from REDAA.

REDAA’s first grant call is now open. Grants of £200,000 - £500,000 (GBP) are available for locally led initiatives lasting two to four years. Apply before the 31 July 2023.

Applications are now open for a distinct project to evaluate wetland ecosystem services in the Kalu Oya Basin in Sri Lanka. Apply before 4 September 2023.
