When Indigenous Peoples and local communities have effective rights and powers, their work to care for nature's leads to healthy environments, climate resilience and thriving local livelihoods. In turn, those supporting this approach are finding ways to come together to explore their practices in research, policy and organisational action.
A community taking action for nature, climate and people is growing.
“Locally led nature restoration” is a community for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to exchange knowledge, learn and collaborate to spread sustainable locally led restoration practices. Members are working together on:
- Learning events, online and in-person
- Tailored capacity-boosting support
- Co-designing and disseminating knowledge products
- Connections amongst partners and with other learning networks
The community is open to anyone around the globe working or interested in locally led nature restoration. Central to “locally led nature restoration” are the REDAA partners, a group comprising organisations in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia whose initiatives are supported by the programme.
