Utilising a mixed methods approach that encompasses a literature review, key information interviews and an online survey, this paper provides an examination of environmental degradation issues in Central Africa, with a particular focus on Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The paper identifies four potential research-to-action priorities that the REDAA programme could support, where evidence could be strengthened and taken up, tools can be improved, and governance systems can be enhanced to help reverse environmental degradation and restore ecosystems in Central Africa. The study also identifies potential priority areas where REDAA interventions could be located.
