This recording includes a short presentation from the REDAA team, explaining the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) self-assessment exercise, which all REDAA projects are asked to complete as part of their annual reporting.
The self-assessment is intended as a learning and reflection tool, not a performance evaluation or accountability mechanism. The REDAA SMU will not be assessing your project's performance based on where you place your work on the GESI continuum. Instead, we encourage you to use this opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue with your team—reflecting on how GESI is being embedded in your work, what you're learning through this process, strategies you're using, challenges you’re facing, and any future plans to strengthen your GESI integration.
To re-emphasise, the REDAA Community will not be making a judgement from the information you provide. Rather, we intend to identify opportunities for peer discussion and learning - where we can come together and reflect on what went right or wrong, elaborate tactics and identify questions we can't yet answer. There is no blueprint to GESI - and its so together through our REDAA projects we have an opportunity to learn, and hopefully advance others learning on GESI.
